Meri zeest pur musarat kabhi thi, na hy, na hogi.

A beautiful piece of poetry by Peer Naseer Uddin Naseer (Golra Shareef).

mein yeh jaantay huay b teri anjumann me aya,
k tujhe meri zarurat kabhi thi, na hy, na hogi..

jo gila kiya hy tumse, jo samajh k tumko apna,
mujhe ghair se shikayat kabhi thi, na hy, na hogi..

yeh karam hy doston ka jo wo keh rahay hen sub se,
k Naseer parr inayat kabhi thi, na hy na hogi...

Meri zeest pur musarat.....

aag daman me lag jae gi..

A beautiful piece of poetry by Fana Nizami Kanpuri and sung perfectly by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and his party.

The poetry goes as follows:

aag daaman mein lag jaegi, dil me shohla machal jaega,
mera saghar na choona kabhi, saqia haath jall jaega.

aik din wo zaroor ayengy, darrd ka saya tall jaega,
is zamanay ki parwah nahi, yeh zamana badal jaega.

aa gaya mera ankhon me damm, ab tou jalwa dikha dijeay,
aapki baat reh jaegi, meraa armaaan nikal jaegaa.

besabab humse rootho na tum, yeh larai buri cheez hy,
sulahh karlo Khuda k lie, yeh buraa waqt tall jaega.

yeh adaa hy ya dil ka jalana, hum manatay hen tum rooth'tay ho,
hum jo roothay tou pachtao gy tum, roz tumko manana paray ga.

milna hy jo ghairon se tou saaf e keh do,
yoon rooth k janay ka bahana nahi acha.

mehh kasho us nazar ki suno, keh rahi hy wo shohla badan,
mehh nahi jaam mein aag hy, jo piay ga wo jall jaegaa.

koi aansu nahi aankh me, baat ghar ki abhi ghar me hy,
tum jo yoon hi satatay rahay dard ashkon me dhal jaega.

dooor hen jab talak tum se hum, kese hoga madawa e ghum,
ekk dafa tum milo tou sanam, ghum khushi mein badal jaega.

garr yoon hi ghar mein bethaa raha, maar dalein gi tanhaiyaan,
chal zara mehh kaday mein chalain, ae fanaa dil behl jaegaa~
